Vacancy for Parish Clerk
Farningham Parish Council (FPC) have a vacancy for a Parish Clerk.
Farningham is a small Parish, and this is a part time role requiring 15 hours per week. The role is home based as FPC have no office premises.
Council meetings take place once per month in the evening, and occasionally there may be a requirement to meet mid-month. Otherwise, this is a working from home role with flexibility as to when the hours are worked.
Salary to be discussed, and dependent on experience and qualifications, but based on national scales.
Ideally the new Parish Clerk will know Farningham well and have experience of working as a Parish Clerk or Assistant Clerk, but training and support can be provided for anyone with the right skills.
The ideal applicant:
- · will know Farningham well
- · be community focused
- · and have:
- experience of working as a Parish Clerk or Assistant Clerk (but training and support can be provided for anyone with the right basic skills)
- good IT skills
- bookkeeping experience/experience of accounting packages
- good customer focus
- the ability to work efficiently on their own initiative
