Farningham's Neighbourhood Plan

Building a Stronger Community, Shaping Our Future Together!

Farningham has started work on a Neighbourhood Plan which is a chance for our community to come together and shape how we want our Parish to look and feel over the next 15 to 20 years.

A Neighbourhood Plan is community-led positive planning document with policies and guidance in our area for the next 15 to 20 years that responds to the aspirations and ambitions of residents. The Plan will have equal weight to the emerging Local Plan for Sevenoaks District on issues such as housing, the built and natural environment, community facilities and our local economy.

Once complete, the Neighbourhood Plan will carry legal weight and sit alongside the emerging Local Plan for Sevenoaks District Council. The Neighbourhood Plan gives us a real opportunity to positively influence planning decisions that affect us all.

How You Can Get Involved

We’re looking for volunteers to join the Steering Group and contribute towards creating the Plan. You don’t need any planning experience - just a passion for Farningham and its future. Whether you’d like to join a working group, help with events, or share your thoughts through consultations, we would love to hear from you.
