From now until 11th December 2025 Sevenoaks District Council is consulting on its emerging Local Plan and they want your views.

Two major sites are being considered which could have significant implications locally:
• Pedham Place (ref. PED1) – is proposed as a new standalone settlement to include 2,579 new homes, and 49,000 m2 of industry.
• WASPS Stadium (ref. SWAN17) – is proposed as a 28,000-seater sports arena, and associated training facilities.
Farningham Parish Council (FPC) is encouraging all residents to submit a response. The consultation includes 3 options for development. SWAN17 is included in both options 1 and 2, whereas PED 1 in included in option2 only. FPC is supporting a third option of “None of the Above” as we can’t support the proposed stadium. We recommend commenting on individual sites and policies in the plan.

Sevenoaks District Council have organised several pop-up sessions in the district over the duration of Regulation 18. During the pop-up sessions in Eynsford Village Hall, Farningham Parish Council submitted questions for officers to respond. • Regulation 18 Consultation – 23rd October to 11th December.
• Pre-submission Publication (Regulation 19 consultation) – Summer 2026
• Submission – before 31 December 2026
• Examination by the Planning Inspector – 2027.
