20mph Scheme

The full works were not completed on the 29th February due to bad weather. The remaining works have been scheduled for 7th and, if necessary, 8th March 2024.

Whilst the Highways Department at Kent County Council complete to deliver the 20mph scheme in Farningham the following road closures will be in place with temporary traffic lights on London Road and the High Street, near the church:

7th and (if necessary) 8th March 2024 for between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs

Dartford Road will be closed between A20 Main Road and number 8.
The alternative route for Dartford Road is via A20 Main Road, A225 Eynsford Road, High Street, Dartford Road and vice versa.

Sparepenny Lane for the entire length.
The alternative route for Sparepenny Lane is via Sparepenny Lane, Riverside, A225 High Street, A225 Eynsford Road, A20 London Road, Dartford Road, High Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the installation of a 20MPH speed limit works are undertaken by Kent.
