Global Renewable Energy Company, RES, is exploring the potential for a solar farm on land between Horton Kirby and Fawkham, with a view to submitting a planning application this year.

Being on the other side of the M20, the proposed site does not fall within the boundary of Farningham and assessments suggest that the solar farm would not be visible from Farningham; however, at this stage, the access and construction route to the proposed solar farm would pass through the parish and so RES are keen to engage with residents and the Parish Council at this early stage.

RES are holding a public engagement event on Monday 10th July, 2pm to 10pm at Fawkham Village Hall. Everyone is very welcome to attend.
