Waiting Restrictions (Double yellow lines) - High Street, Farningham

Kent County Council have opened Amendment 57: Waiting Restrictions on High Street, Farningham for consultation. This Order is on public deposit from Friday 29 March until 22 April 2024, will be advertised in the Kent Messenger week ending Friday 29 March 2024 and public notices will be placed on site.

The effect of this proposed Order is to install or amend existing waiting restrictions on High Street in Farningham, Sevenoaks – (1) on northeast side extend the existing double yellow lines by 22 metres in a southeasterly direction outside the Village Hall Green (2) on southwest side extend the existing double yellow lines by 2 metres in a southeasterly direction outside entrance to The Manor House.

This order is being made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.

Representations supporting or objecting to the proposed Order can be made via KCCs website from 29 March at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations or alternatively you can write to The Senior Parking & Traffic Regulation Officer, Kroner House, Traffic Management Team, Highways & Transportation, Eurogate Business Park, Ashford, TN24 8UX by 12 noon on Monday 22 April 2024.
