Farningham Village Electric Vehicle Charging Point Update

Farningham Parish Council's (FPC) proposal to take advantage of a Kent County Council grant for the installation of an Electric Vehicle charging point will not now be going ahead. The grant is dependent upon the installation being placed on community land, and the Council proposed that the installation be in the car park belonging to FPC at Farningham Village Hall . The Council polled all Parishioners on our circulation list last September and a significant majority of respondents were in favour of the project.

The Village Hall Committee is unfortunately not in favour however, and very reluctantly therefore the Council feels it inappropriate to continue with the project. FPC will however continue to look for future similar opportunities that may be viable.
