Parish Councillor Vacancy

We will shortly have a vacancy for a Parish Councillor and would be delighted to hear from anyone interested in joining the Council.

The Council is made up of 7 Councillors who undertake their responsibilities on a voluntary basis and are supported by a part-time Clerk. We meet monthly on the 1^st Wednesday evening of each month, and when required also on the 3^rd Wednesday evening.

Parish Councils have a variety of powers relating to local issues and are statutory consultees on others. Specific areas that we are involved with include:

¨Planning applications

¨Roads, highways and footpaths

¨Local amenities such as green spaces, Farningham Woods and the Darent
